I rescued this plant from being thrown away at Fred Meyer 3 years ago. It was exactly like it is now except it was droopy. It popped back to life in a couple days. It HASNT GROWN…in 3 years. I once tried to kill it. Didn’t water for 4 months! It got droopy but never died.
I’ve heard it’s a waxflower, a ZZplant, and a couple others.

What is it? Why won’t it grown? Why won’t it die!?
It’s become my favorite plant. I named it Plorticia Pladams.

PS, I live in Portland, don’t mind the bear spray in the background. It’s part of my door weapons🤣

Also it might need some light fertilizer to get growing. But they require a well draining soil, very minimal watering, and like to be tight in the pot. Otherwise they don’t really grow much. I’ve got them down now, but it is a learning curve for sure. Best of luck bestie.

Yes, ZZ. I would put it in a smaller pot with well-draining soil, acclimate it to bright light, and water from the top when the soil is completely dry.

Neither ZZ nor snake plants are low light plants. They just survive in it better than others.

Looks like a Zz plant to me. Anyone else?

def a baby ZZ plant. They have big ole bulbs in their root systems and crop up if they’re feeling the vibe. If she’s an unexpected visitor, that may have happened!

These grow into gorgeous plants, mine got huge and I propagated some to give to my mum then mine died back 😩 it’s finally regrowing well now.

They prefer letting the soil totally dry out, then give it a soak.
