I am very new to gardening and I need help identifying what this is. Is it a weed or part of a vegetable or something else altogether? I have a beet and a carrot planted here. Those pointed leaves are part of it. I’m using a potting soil and a big pot since I live in an apartment. I’m in southern Ontario Canada. Any help would be appreciated.

I think this is some sort of sunflower or Aster. But that narrows it down to about 1/3rd of all plants. I can help if further with better pictures. The flower and leaves specifically if u can!
