    Yes, that’s literally what compost is mold (fungus) breaking down organic material.

    Totally fine to toss moldy strawberries and a tomato into the compost! I’ve done it plenty of times, honestly, my compost bin sees a LOT of fuzzy fruit.

    I toss in moldy coffee grounds every few days and the mold just goes away.

    rotting plant matter in your compost? sounds too crazy. just pee on it like a normal poster on this sub. that’s the way!

    Just make sure to add some metal and glass if you’ve got too much food in the mix
