I found this baby tomato plant (I’m pretty sure anyway) growing in between bricks in my garden and decided to move it to the first pot I could find. Didn’t have a plastic one to spare.

Is there any chance I could grow tomatoes so late in the year?

Only under glass another 3 weeks and outdoor season will be over

Give up and try next year in March/April.

Even under glass it’s too late. There won’t be sufficient daylight by the time that little plant grows. It might stay alive indoors overwinter for an early start next year. I’ve never tried it though.

It will be for outside, but they can be kept overwinter apparently (I’ve never tried this) so could be an interesting experiment?

Wayyyyy too late. Even if we have non stop sunshine between now and the rest of the summer, there aren’t enough daylight hours for the plant to grow.

For reference, I sowed my San Marzanos indoors in March and put them in a greenhouse in April. The fruits are only just now ripening.

This should be too soon for next year rather than too late for this year.
