The garden, designed by Pip Probert, will feature at the event taking place at Audley End House and Gardens in Saffron Walden from August 29 to 31.

Pip, a multi-award-winning designer known for her work on BBC Two’s Your Garden Made Perfect, has created the Make a Metre Matter Garden.

The garden supports the BBC Gardeners’ World campaign, which encourages people to transform just one metre of outdoor space for the good of the planet.

More than 13,500 eco-friendly metres have already been pledged through the campaign.

Pip said: “In the Make a Metre Matter Garden, we’re aiming to show multiple ways of enhancing just a small amount of garden space and to demonstrate how re-using things can be done in a way that looks new and fresh.

“The garden will have a range of creative planting combinations and will demonstrate that even the smallest garden space can attract wildlife.”

The garden will include vegetable beds, wildlife areas, pollinator patches and recycled features.

It will also feature a water bowl mini pond, planters for structure, and a removable shade sail for shelter.

The BBC Gardeners’ World Autumn Fair promises a full day of inspiration, with showcase gardens, beautiful borders and floral displays.

BBC Gardeners’ World presenters will appear on the magazine stage to share seasonal tips and advice.

This includes Adam Frost, Arit Anderson, Rachel de Thame and Frances Tophill.

Lucy Tremlett, event director at Immediate Live, said: “Set against the spectacular backdrop of Audley End House and Gardens, the Autumn Fair’s showcase gardens and beautiful borders never fail to impress, sparking fresh ideas for our visitors to try at home.

“It’s going to be wonderful to see Pip Probert bring the BBC Gardeners’ World Make a Metre Matter campaign brought to life with her headline garden.”

Visitors can also enjoy food, hands-on workshops, guided kitchen garden tours and live music.

Advance adult tickets start at £24.50 (concessions £22.50) and include full access to Audley End House and its grounds.

Tickets and further information are available at bbcgardenersworldfair.com.
