I have a string of… something, maybe nickels? That I got from a garage sale with no ID, managed to keep it alive for two years (personal best) until life happened and I had to leave it in somebody else’s care for a couple months. I’ll spare the details, but it got watered to death. Like insane root rot plant soup levels of overwatered. I took cuttings in a panic and brought them home with me to propagate, which I’ve been doing in just water, doing water changes every couple days. All 3 cuttings are growing roots, but I don’t really know where to go from here.
A) At what point do I plant these in soil, and B) what kind of soil do I need to be getting?
In the case that this isn’t a string of nickels, hopefully I’m still in the right sub. Any advice is super appreciated 💚

The plant is actually a ‘peperomia hope’. They are somewhat succulent-like as they tend to hold lots of water in their leaves so a well draining mix like you had originally looks good. Peperomia tend to have pretty fine/sparse root systems so I think that pot you had the original plant in was likely too big making it higher risk for overwatering.
With regards to propagating, I’ve never had great success propagating this plant so take with a grain of salt. Given their succulent-like leaves they can propagate in soil/media directly even without the roots you have so moving them should be ok granted you have well draining mix and keep the soil moist at the start. Would use a kind of small pot at first given their fine, sometimes sensitive roots.
Hope this helps.
