a friend have me this plant yesterday, saying they don’t want it anymore. what do i do? how do i take care of it? i don’t even know what kind it is, i own one cactus, that’s it…
they were watering it once every two weeks, it has a drainage pot, but it seems too small? idk
the plant was next to a window so plenty of light.
should i just continue with the same care? i see one leaf is yellow but to be honest i don’t know what to do with it

it’s a monstera! they’re very hardy, but it can take a little bit of tlc to make them thrive. they like plenty of light, watering once every two weeks is probably fine, unless it starts to wilt. prune the yellow leaf off. you’ll probably want to give it a slightly bigger pot, and some kind of moss pole/trellis to climb on.
Looks like a Philodendron, but I’m not someone who can tell you which specific variety, and we might need to see more of the top of the leaves to know that anyway. But Philos are fairly easy to care for.
