Hi plant friends,

These are my pothos cuttings living in water. I know it’s a common way to propagate, but back at an old job we had this massive pothos growing entirely in water,no soil at all, and it thrived even without direct sunlight.

At home I have natural light, but mine have looked exactly the same for years… same leaves, no new growth.

Is there a way to get them to actually grow bigger while staying in water? Should I be adding anything to the water, like nutrients or fertilizer? If so, I’d love recommendations for products I could find on Amazon, as well as any personal tips or tricks that have worked for you.

Also, I hope I’m not stressing the plant by keeping it like this — and thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to share advice.

Plants are slow growing in water from my experience.

You can add prop drops or very diluted liquid fertilizer. The fish tank has good fertilizer from the fish. 🐠 poop
