Hello! I was wondering how you would cover this gravel on the side of the house. I’m thinking putting down some sand and a patio stone but not sure if there are concerns with water since it’s right up against the side of the house. Any advice would be appreciate thanks!

Depending on how much sun it gets, that looks like a solid spot for a small garden bed!

Dig it up, and make a flower bed there. That will make it more appealing. “Curb appeal” as they call it.

Spread a more decorative rock on top of what’s already there. It’ll look a little nicer, but stay relatively low maintenence.

Flatten it down and pour cement level with your sidewalk for a more dystopian feel and least maintenance.

You have many options of what you can do there.

I planted a rose bush (without removing the gravel).

Not sure if it’s recommended, but it’s thriving.

This is gonna sound crazy but if you have a shop vac, remove the paper filter for water and vacuum those surface stones up.

Will save you from having to dig it out.

All you really need to do is add a piece of edging there, and maybe plant something and it would look 100 times better. That way it looks like an intentional area where there is gravel, and a plant or three. If you plant, and that is an area that tends to be wet, ask the local nursery what they have that won’t get too large (4’t x 3’w at maturity) that enjoys water and whatever amount of sun you get.
