Any ideas what causes stunted fruit growth? Is it because of they are potted in 5 gallon buckets? Never seem to be able to get size. Water frequency doesn't matter. Fertilizer is quality in foxfarm products and do the typical fish emulsion during initial growth and switch to a very dilute 2-15-15 during bloom and fruit production and give weekly. Soil is miracle gro potting mixed with about 25% regular raised bed/in ground soil and the plants look healthy but give this result. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ . The peppers area still good to eat just about half sized.

What is the genetics? I’ve found some of my heirlooms will be varied in fruit sizes while some of the hybrids like my from seed Ferry Morse California Wonder 300TMR fruits this year were all absolutely massive. That said, I’ve found i dont like growing bell peppers as much as the smaller sweet peppers. Something about getting only 3-6 peppers at a time i really dislike, so I think I’ll skip bells next year.
