UTICA, N.Y. — GreenUtica will offer a free community event showcasing home gardens throughout Utica.
The fifth annual GreenUtica Garden Tour will take place on Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Participants can pick up maps and register at GreenUtica’s office at 1641 Genesee St. starting at 9:30 a.m.
Pre-registration is encouraged.
Danny Beaver, Munson’s groundskeeper, will lead a special tour of the museum’s grounds at 9 a.m. before the main event.
This tour also requires pre-registration and will highlight Munson’s new landscaping and notable plantings.
The general tour will cover gardens in downtown, North Utica, West Utica and South Utica, offering insights into various gardening techniques.
Tour maps and lawn signs will guide visitors to each location.
