This week on Good Day Gardening, we caught up with Jeff Turnbull at Darby Creek Nursery, where the pumpkin patch is looking great despite a slightly late start. Due to the wet spring, the team had to delay planting, but now the pumpkin blooms are big and healthy, setting the stage for a strong crop in the weeks ahead.

We also checked in on the sweet corn, which is running a little behind schedule as well. That delay might actually work in your favor. While other places may run out of corn early, Darby Creek could have some of the best late-season sweet corn around once it hits its peak.

Back at the garden center, the 50% off sale on all annuals is still going strong. It is a perfect time to grab some fresh color for your porch, patio, or flower beds.

You can visit Darby Creek Nursery at 9050 Amity Pike, and catch more gardening tips from Jeff every Saturday and Sunday morning on FOX28 during Good Day Gardening.
