A new festival is set to usher in a “joyous celebration of gardening” just a short drive from Bristol.
Gardening experts, enthusiasts and novices from across the region will join in for a series of activities at the Yeo Valley Organic Garden in North Somerset between September 18-20.
Each day of the three-day festival focuses on a unique gardening-centric theme, ranging from soil health and climate resistance to a look at the next generation of gardeners

The festival hopes to encourage gardeners to grow their knowledge while understanding on a variety of practices like boosting biodiversity on a balcony, starting a composting heap and discussing solutions for climate-resilient planting .
Attendees will have the chance to learn from the industry’s best during talks, discussions, workshops and demonstrations, before they choose to unwind with some shopping.
TV personalities like Frances Tophill, Arit Anderson and Tom Massey are some of the many speakers who are expected at the festival.
Head gardener of the Yeo Valley Organic Garden, Sarah Mead, sees this festival as the foundation of “something really special”.
She added: With voices like Tom Massey, Sheila Das and Charles Dowding joining us, we’re offering both practical insights and genuine inspiration for anyone who wants to garden with nature in mind.
“Sustainability doesn’t have to mean doom, gloom and giving up your garden gnomes – it’s about making small changes that all add up to help improve the soil, promote a healthy biodiverse food chain in your garden.
“We guarantee you’ll have fun along the way and feel better for it!”
