Should I cut the stem? It was growing taller so I put a bit of support, the little leaves fell off and it just got even taller. I must have had this one for maybe 8 months now.

It was given to me as a very very small clipping from a table centerpiece.

    Awe it’s so cute 😍.

Id probably cut it lol but you do you

    Ps probably needs more light

Try cutting the top of but leaving the huge stem, you may be able to get a one in a kind plant, imagine the top puts out new shoots and it might become bushy top

This is exactly what this is supposed to look like! Get a taller stake and put it in a darker spot!

    MOTHER I CRAVE THE LIGHT

Seriously, transition that poor thing into first indirect sunlight for a month or so and then to at least 4 hours of morning sun, or its going to eventually die.

Gosh, this little guy is unfortunately extremely desperate for some sun. It’s extremely !etiolated. It needs a very gradual acclimation to more sun or a !growlight.

After that, you can chop and !propagate the top growth. See the bot replies below for assistance. If the links don’t work, you’ll need to access them from a mobile browser or computer (Reddit app is having issues with the wiki links)

😳omg… 🤣bless its heart. Pls fix this baby💔

That’s so badly etiolated I’m actually impressed it’s still going! OP that means other than not providing enough light, you were doing everything else good enough so you should see quick improvement once you chop and prop and it gets established again.

it would probably help it to be on the other side of the curtain where the sun is

I know you’re getting really good advice so I won’t add any but I cannot stop laughing this thing is so silly looking. Good luck OP! Succulents are great at bouncing back.

Pro gamer tip: your succulent should not look like asparagus.

You could probably persuade me to believe this is a funky type of asparagus if I didn’t already know better 😅

    Plant “WHERES THE FUCKKNG LIGHT”

  16. BrokenLoveLife

This made me laugh I love him so much. Poor buddy wants sunlight, he should absolutely not be that tall and itty bitty

This is…kind of the equivalent of leaving your kid in the basement and giving them bread crumbs every day.

Starvation followed by threats of dismemberment. Poor little fella

I’m genuinely starting to wonder if ppl are making it to adulthood these days without learning plants need light.

Also, where do you live? This sub is full of folks trying to grow plants native to places like S. California and Africa, on a windowsill in Manchester, England and wondering why their plant isn’t happy.
