RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) – Tickets went on sale Monday for this year’s Bier-Garden at Maymont!
It begins the opening weekend of Munich’s Oktoberfest on Sept. 20 and 21. It will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. each day.
The event plans to feature Bavarian and Polish food, traditional German and local craft beers, and music.
Bier-Garden wants to help get your polka fix in with a live band, but it also includes German folk dancers, stein-hoisting contests, a dachshund costume parade and Jonathan the Juggler.
Maymont offers events for kids as well, like the inflatable soccer area ‘Soccer Shotz’ and a crafting area.
It’s a $10 entry fee for adults, and $6 for children ages 16 and under. Maymont members and participants in the Museums for All program will be able to attend for free.
