The event was held at the Hawkhill Community Centre in Alloa from 11am to 2pm and featured a bouncy castle, face painting, stone painting, a variety of crafts and a visit from some friendly alpacas.
The day was organised as part of the annual Hawkhill Fun Day, but also, as an opening day for the community garden, which features a memorial space and sensory area.
The community garden has been dedicated to James (Pemo) Horne who first started the project.
Centre manager, Sandra Forsyth previously said: “Sadly, James passed away before seeing the garden completed, but his legacy will live on in this peaceful space, which is designed for reflection and remembrance.”
The Hawkhill Community Centre thanked everyone who came along to support the event.
Taking to Facebook they said: “Our community garden is now officially open so please come along, have a seat and enjoy it.
“Thanks so much Hawkhill staff and volunteers for your hard work getting everything ready for today it really was a team effort and we’re so grateful to you all.
“Special shout out to our Elizabeth whose patience and dedication to the stone painting project has made the garden a blaze of colour.”
