[Music] [Music] garden update. [Music] As you know, our garden loves to surprise us. Most of the seeds self sew themselves everywhere. This pot was supposed to be for flowers only. But look closely. A tomato plant has popped up on its own. Since we have a short growing season, we’re letting it grow. Anything we can harvest in this short time is a blessing. Here’s one of our hanging baskets. You’ll see some pansies and right there in the same bucket, amaranth. We didn’t even sew amaranth this year, but it came back all on its own. It’s growing everywhere in every bucket, and we’re letting it grow for both the greens and the seeds. Let me show you one of the containers we harvested from less than two weeks ago. This is just one plant. And look at all the new branches. That’s why I always say don’t pull it out. Just harvest and let it shoot out more side branches. The more you harvest, the more it grows back. Cut them young so they don’t flower and scatter seeds all over. Unless you want amaranth growing in every corner. This bucket was originally for peppers, but the amaranth has taken over. Still, it’s a good variety. I’ll cut some of it down to give the pepper space to breathe. Always prune the pepper leaves for better air flow and faster ripening. This is the pepper we grew here. Here’s our pepper and curry leaf bucket. We planted them together to maximize space, especially since the season is short and we started late. [Music] And here’s African eggplant garden egg. Make sure you prune for air flow and remove any weeds or dying leaves. [Music] We also grew potatoes here. After harvesting, we planted more crops in the same grow bag. This is our scent leaf. Always remove bad leaves to allow healthy ones to flourish. [Music] You’ll see marold all around our garden. It’s great for pest control and attracts pollinators. Look at this garden egg. It’s too bushy and I can’t see the soil. We need to prune so sun and air can reach the plant. Pollinators need space to move, too. Now that it’s cleared up, it can fruit better. Amaranth again. More peppers, tomatoes, maragold. Don’t forget to dead head and save seeds. [Music] And of course, onions. Tip: Don’t plant onions too deep. They won’t bulb up. Here’s a bed with lettuce that we harvested before. It’s growing back again. We have more peppers and tomatoes. and cucumbers as well. We have sunflowers to attract pollinators. This sunflower has multiple heads. Remember to prune for better pollination and air flow. You’ll see water leaf tomatoes and lots of scent leaf too. [Music] A tip for watering during a heat wave. Always place a saucer under your pots to retain moisture. Saves you from watering multiple times a day. And for water leaf, harvest the leaves, not the stem. You can root the stem in water and regrow it next season. Let’s harvest some ripe tomatoes. Our corns are having cubs already. Leongrass, thyme, [Music] mint, strawberries. We’ve harvested lots of strawberries, but they’re producing again. This is our yugu fluted pumpkin. This is our bitter leaf. You harvest the leaves, not the stem. So you can root the stem in water for next year. [Music] [Music] This was the old stem that we took in. Now it has produced various stems. [Music] These are curry leaves. They’re easy to tell by the smell and the leaf shape. Curry leaves are in clusters and glossier. [Music] These tomatoes are ripe enough to be harvested. [Music] on the way. Just look at these delicious beauties. Anyway, that’s it for today’s garden tour. Let me know what you’re growing, too. And happy harvesting from Estalicious Garden. [Music] [Music] and pink. Hey
