I was considering putting a 20 gallon or 40 gallon tropical pink plant tank in where my mirror is, my only issues are a lack of an outlet (but I have a sky light that makes the bathroom really bright in the morning) and the proximity to the toilet (tub isn’t used because it was broken before we moved in) obviously the door (now wall) will be fixed probably won’t put an animal in it unless I can guarantee proper requirements and minimal temperature/humidity fluctuation. Luckily chemicals aren’t an issue because I clean with animal safe stuff anyways because of my bird + cats. This wouldn’t be for another few years btw I like to take my time with my tanks

lol I like the idea personally, good luck with the electrical work tho
Top job on the clean up! 👏
What’s the long term goal for the tub? If you own the place and don’t intend on repairing the tub, I’d look into planning a corner set up. Tear out the tub and gain a whole lot of usable space. Sky light is great too.
If it’s just plants I think that’d be neat. If your planning on putting an animal in the tank personally I don’t like putting pets in places I don’t spend much time. And as nice as this bathroom is I doubt you’re planning on hanging out there. So personal preference but that is one thing to keep in mind.
lol. Still worried about your electrics in a moist space like this.
Would be great for houseplants like philodendrons or monsteras though?
That’s one nice bathroom. Glad to see. So you plan on having a walstad aquarium? I’ve never seen it in a 20/40g. Think you can get at least an extra outlet?
I think it’s a super cool idea if you can get the electricity figured out. Also, please fix that tub – I had one just like it in my last house and it was wonderful; I miss it every day.
And the people who gave you crap about the mess in the last post were being ridiculous – it wasn’t nasty, just a bit messy, and obviously it wasn’t too bad since you got it clean so fast. Anyone who never has a messy room in their house needs more hobbies.
EDIT: we are most likely going to put an outlet in that open wall
