Spotted this bush on a walk earlier (Scotland, UK) and it was absolutely swarming with activity especially from butterflies as per the 2 photographs.
Would be an interesting one to find out as I wouldn't mind considering it as an addition to my garden setup.
Bush was about 6ft in height and had these purple flowered ends that were attracting the bees and butterflies.

Thanks in advance.

Buddleia or commonly known as butterfly bush. There are smaller dwarf varieties if there is limited space in the garden.

    Thanks all…. Very quick response….
I probably should have tried a Google search with “butterfly bush” but who knew it would be as obvious as that. I do now.

    Appreciate it.

Butterfly Bush is highly invasive in North America. Plant with caution and, at the very least, be informed of the ecological risks.
