  1. The general landscape off both sides of the entrance is a very naturalized look. A sharply manicured boxwood hedge seems a significant contrast to what will be only feet away. Although the entrance pillars are formal, the existing plantings are not. A boxwoods are going to look great, but a very formal pruning seems a tad mismatched. You have to do what you’ll enjoy, and I’ve never seen a design of yours that I didn’t think was beautiful, so you’ll tie in everything perfectly.

  2. Keep the fence. Not everything needs to match, more important is the flow. Removing the fence will make it look awkward and incomplete.

  3. Please don't block the pillars, obviously do whatever you want, not I definitely prefer the left side and I don't understand why the fence has to be moved, I think it provides a clean boundary but I do like the idea of having another large evergreen so each side matches that much more💗 y'all are amazing!!!

  4. Personally, I love the boxwoods coming off the edge of the pillars with the hydrangeas pushed back. It just looks more cohesive and less perched. I vote to leave the fence.

  5. Maybe next time you clean the fountain try a power washer with the vacuum ,it would save some hand scrubbing. Keep the fence!😄👍
