Welcome back to Armed Forger. Today we’re going to look at this thimbleberry. This stuff is fantastic. There’s a huge, huge plethora of thimbleberry here. Thimbleberry is basically a survivalist dream plant. You can eat the leaves. The leaves are very fuzzy and u and and they don’t have a bad taste to them or an astringent taste necessarily. And since they’re fuzzy and abundant, there’s a lot of this. Uh you can actually use this as toilet paper if you need to. keeps you nice and clean. The plant wouldn’t like it very much, I’m sure, but you know, uh, if you need it, there it is. Strange thing, uh, these berries are very like rock hard, um, until until they ripen. Let’s see if we can find a ripe one. Oh, yep. Okay, so here’s one here. And if they don’t fall off, uh, you can just pull it off and it just kind of slides off the top. And it kind of looks like a raspberry, but it’s a little hollow on the inside there. And then over the top, it’s nice and red. It’s a very strange type of fruit. And it’s extremely squishy. So, it goes from rock hard to really, really squishy. They have an unimaginably sweet candy-like taste. Tastes like candy. It’s out of this world. But like I said, it’s hard to get these because they’ll either fall off and squish off or they’ll be rock hard. So, right now is the perfect time to get these.
