Our fruit trees all of a sudden have several spots that won't take water, im only concerned as there are some soft spots around the trees.

Where I live, water doesn’t just bubble out of the ground, it means there’s a busted water line. With the water not being used anywhere, is your pump coming on, or water meter turning?

    Yep. Gopher or mole.

They will kill that tree if you let them setup shop.

    Get a gopherhawk trap.

    Get ’em

mole or vole. Trees a goner unless the roots are caged. If yougrab the tree and wiggle it, is it real loose in the ground?

Anyway these trees were goners anyway, because they don’t have tree guards. One winter and the rabbits will kill em dead.
