Delays backs up Garden State Parkway express and local lanes traffic from the Asbury plaza to Exit 114

As of 5:45 p.m., traffic volume on the Garden State Parkway’s express lanes from north of the Asbury Toll plaza to south of Exit 114 in Middletown has resulted in a nine-mile delay. All lanes are open.

Traffic volume has caused a 10-mile delay in the Garden State Parkway’s local lanes northbound from south of Exit 105 to Exit 116 in Holmdel. All lanes are open. 

11-mile delay snarls Garden State Parkway local traffic from Tinton Falls to Holmdel

As of about 5 p.m., delays due to volume have caused a 11 1/2-mile delay on the local lanes from north of the Asbury Toll Plaza to south of Exit 116 in Holmdel. All lanes are open. In the express lanes, there is a two-mile delays from Exit 116 to Exit 117 in Hazlet and a three-mile delay from south of Exit 109 to south of Exit 114 in Middletown.

Delays continue on Garden State Parkway from Tinton Falls to Holmdel

As of 4:45 p.m., there is a 1 1/2-mile delay due to volume on the Garden State Parkway express lanes northbound around Exit 116 (PNC Arts Center) in Holmdel. There are also delays on the Parkway’s local lanes north of the Asbury Toll Plaza to Exit 109. All lanes are open, but there is a six-mile delay due to volume.

Four-mile delay on Garden State Parkway between Exit 105 and Exit 109

As of about 4 p.m., there is a four-mile delay due to volume from north of Exit 105 in Tinton Falls to Exit 109 in Middletown.

Three-mile delay on Garden State Parkway’s express lane in Middletown

As of 2:45 p.m., there are delays on the Garden State Parkay’s express lanes going north from Exit 109 to south of Exit 114 in Middletown. All lanes are open with a three-mile delay as a result of volume.

Traffic volume causes Garden State Parkway four- and eight-mile backups on stretches between Toms River and Tinton Falls.

As of about 2:30, all parkway lanes were open but motorists faced a four-mile delay due to volume from north of Exit 98 (Route 138) to Exit 100C (Route 66 West) in Tinton Falls.

There are also delays and pockets of volume on the northbound side from south of the Toms River Toll Plaza to Exit 91 B-A, Country Route 549/Chambers Bridge Road in Brick. All lanes are open with an eight-mile delay.

6-mile back up on the Garden State Parkway. Delays spread in Monmouth and Ocean counties

As of 1:45 p.m., there’s a six-and-a-half-mile delay on Garden State Parkway northbound from Exit 83 (Route 9) in Toms River to Exit 90 (County Road 549/Chambers Bridge Road) in Brick.

There’s also a four-mile delay, due to volume, from north of Exit 98 in Wall to north of Exit 100-C, (Route 66 West) in Tinton Falls.

Delays mounting on Garden State Parkway with 15-mile backup in Ocean County

As of 12:30 p.m., there are delays and pockets of volume on the Garden State Parkway northbound from the Celia Cruz Service area in Lacey to Exit 90 (County Road 549/Chambers Bridge Road) in Brick. All lanes are open with a 15-mile delay due to volume, according to 511nj.org.

Stop-and-go Parkway traffic reported in Toms River and Brick

As of around 11:30 a.m., northbound traffic on the Garden State Parkway is starting to pick up with stop-and-go conditions around the Parkway interchanges in Toms River and Brick, according to 511nj.org. Meanwhile, there are delays caused by volume in the Parkway’s southbound lanes from Old Bridge to Exit 117 in Aberdeen.

Shore roads quiet so far for trip home from Barnegat Plaza north

At around 10:45 a.m., traffic was flowing smoothly in the nothbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway from the Barnegat toll plaza through Toms River, Brick, Wall, Tinton Falls and Aberdeen, all the way to the Driscoll Bridge.
