I’m transforming our massive but boring backyard into a magical English garden. You might have already seen us create this concrete pad into a pickle ball court. And next up, we’re transforming all around it. We’re starting by attempting to build a gorgeous lattice fence around the cords. I bought all the materials and decided to try to make one single panel before committing to doing all of them. I had built this up in my mind as something really scary because I’ve never built a fence before, but it actually wasn’t too bad at all. And it turned out better than I visualized in my head. Look at these little final ball toppers for the posts. Oh my goodness. Can you just imagine it going all the way around the corner? Now, here’s the big question. Do I stain it or do I paint it green or do I paint it white? It will have a hedge of limelight hydrangeas in front of it if that helps with your boat. And then, if you remember, we’re ripping out all of this rock next to the pickle ball court and putting in a checkered paper patio. I got these PA samples and I am obsessed. They’re so beautiful. Then, it was literally hours and hours and hours of math to figure out how much wood we needed order to build this fence. It took an hour and a half for us to just load all of the wood into the trailer. This was all the wood before we added all the lattice on top of it. But now we’re officially ready to build that vent.
