Justine Ballamy, owner of Highworth Flowers spoke about how happy she is with winning the award.

She said: “We are grateful for this award, but we are also massively grateful for all our local customers and friends who support us. We love being part of the community in Highworth, it’s a lovely town.

“We are one of a few that have been appreciated and awarded for outstanding floristry, quality, knowledge and service. We have provided a service to Interflora all this time and in my previous employment – we are excited to receive this accolade!

“We have worked incredibly hard for sometimes 5am to 11pm at peak times. During incredibly cold winters, it’s a long day being stood up for the entire time!

“But on the other hand, we are crazy flower lovers and just love to surprise customers with our wonderful displays!

The shop has been in business since 1992 and Justine took over the business in 1997 after working there first.

She trained at Lackham Agriculture College in 1986 onwards and has been working with flowers ever since.

The shop sells lots of quality flowers and bouquets that residents can go in and purchase.

On their website, the shop says: Our highly experienced staff of three are fully capable of meeting our customers’ needs; hence we receive a lot of repeat custom.

“Our expertise with different styles and personalisation will leave you with the perfect gift or decoration.”

Locals can also purchase orders online from regular bouquets, customised gifts or for events such as weddings.

In 2022, the shop celebrated 30 years of business, and Justine told the Adver: “I’m not one for working in an office, I like meeting people and wanted to do something with my hands.

“I took over this shop the day after Princess Diana died, so it was a strange moment with mixed emotions.

“It’s all gone so fast, I can’t believe it’s been 30 years, it doesn’t seem possible.

“Highworth is a small, friendly community, it’s my home, I’m so thankful to everyone who has supported this shop.”
