Dont be afraid to give it loads of water, just dont do it all the time. Once every couple weeks is enough. And make sure its not sat in water either, you want the soil to dry between waterings.

If you were looking for an ID, it’s a Haworthiopsis attenuata. It actually looks like a polyploid to me too, so that’s cool. They’re pretty easy to take care of. They like a decent amount of light, but not as much as other succulents. You can tell when you need to water by the leaves, they’ll usually be curled in slightly and more pliable than when it’s been watered
