Port Lincoln Garden Club held its August meeting and annual general meeting at ArtEyrea earlier this month, where 23 members attended.
Positions were declared open and filled, with Heather Curtis elected as president, while Hazel Manning will be vice president.
The secretary is Kate Clarke, assistant secretary is Leanne O’Connor and Surleen Anand is the treasurer.
Jo Hunt is the competition convenor, while the publicity officer is Karen Miels and committee members are Lyn Miller, Margie Rice and Katrina Williams.
After the meeting, awards were given for the most points for the year, won by Marilyn Povey, ahead of runner-up Lyn Miller and third-placed Jo Hunt.
Peter Hughes was acknowledged for his continuous support in judging the competitions each month.
Throughout the past year, the group has had interesting guest speakers and garden visits, robust plant auctions and fabulous blooms presented on the competition bench.
Port Lincoln Garden Club meets on the first Monday of the month at 1pm at ArtEyrea – 25 Mortlock Terrace – unless it is a public holiday or the group has organised to meet elsewhere.
Keep in touch via Port Lincoln Garden Club Facebook page and Messenger.
All are welcome to come along.
