I’m trying to get my lawn to look more consistent in color and texture, but I’ve got some problem areas. Some sections are thick and healthy, others are patchy, and a few spots have different grass types mixed in.
I’ve attached a couple of photos so you can see what I mean.
For context:
• I’ve already done some overseeding and basic fertilizing this year.
• Soil was tested earlier this season and amended according to results.
• I’m in Southern Minnesota, 4b.
What’s the best next step to even everything out? Should I be reseeding, topdressing, or going for a full renovation in certain areas?

I am in no means an expert but I would assume keep overseeding to get it plush, make sure blades are sharp, and mow enough to keep it from growing uneven but I know shit all about grass that’s just a guess
Topdress
Honestly? I’d nuke this. Lots of different species of grasses here that don’t work well together.
You could overseed for multiple years and hope your chosen mix becomes dominant but starting over would give you consistent results
