Last picture aint show off how beautiful this thing is… anyways those 2 pups on it growing great now that all the rot is gone and now that the area for potential attacks is so small I should be able to keep it healthy.. it only weighs 66 pounds san pedro wood relatively light ya.. wish you could calculate its age by its rings like trees but definitely several hundred years old. One of my most prized possessions

Another stump same stans n my size 12s
So many pups. Would the “corked” part ever grow roots?
I still have so much to learn about this wonderful cactus… if I saw that I would pass it up assuming it was dead. And yet, it’s still active and growing.. do you water it any?
Definitely not. Check out the stump on the original DeCosta stand. It’s mind-blowing. 🤯

This the lulu?
To say this plant is “several hundred years old” is pure speculation on OPs part. There are San Pedro in California, USA you can watch grow on Google Maps from 2010 to present that get girth like this in just 2 decades.
Well huanucoensis blocked me so I cant interact with their comments but I know this stand is several hundred years old because this family has owned this property for over 150 years and my family is from this area and I know many people whose family have worked on this property for generations and its always been there according to them, there’s nothing like this in california at all dude is off his rocker thats why he had to block before I could reply sad
Would the wood / cork part be still active ? I would assume so
Weird to see some of y’all gatekeeping this man’s bounty, if y’all had been following along on his IG stories and posts, you’d know he ain’t BSing when he says the stand is 150+ years old, y’all are so confidently wrong it’s funny, y’all have never seen a 150+ year old stand and it shows.

Its insane to me that they literally turn into trees at that late stage
You should hollow some parts out and make a planter out of it. That’s so impressive.
