The Candy Apple Food was added with the Kitchen Storm Update, and though its name implies you’ll need to cook apples, this particular recipe isn’t so easy. Here’s how to make it.

Note that if Candy Apple is the craving, other similar recipes are likely to swap to Candy Apple! Also, if you give Chris P. Bacon his craving, the rarity of the food gets an upgrade.

Candy Apple Recipe in Grow a Garden

To make Candy Apple, you’ll need to have an apple (apple, sugar apple, or green apple), and a plant for the candy coating (peach, raspberry, mango, sugarglaze, etc). You can see which ones you can make based on the crops in your garden in the Recipe Book next to Chris P. Bacon. This serves as a starting point to make a recipe, though it does not list the required number of ingredients to make the item. Instead, use the recipes below!

RECIPE SWAP RECIPES
These recipes ONLY work when CandyApple is the craving:

Prismatic Candy Apple:

1 Sugar Apple 1 Giant Pinecone

Or

2 Sugarglaze 2 Sugar Apple

Transcendent Candy Apple:

1 Beanstalk 1 Ember Lily 1 Sugar Apple 1 Giant Pinecone 1 Bone Blossom

Once you have your ingredients, go to the Cooking Pot in the middle of the island to make the candyapple. Equip the ingredient you want to add to the pot, and then interact with the pot to add it to the mix. Whatever you’ve added will show up on the Ingredients list to the left.

When you’ve added all the ingredients, press the Cook button to start cooking. If you’re cooking what Chris P is craving, the Cooking confirmation text will confirm it’s a [Craving] recipe.

Until you press ‘Cook’, you can take all the food out of the pot by pressing the Empty button, which gives you all your ingredients back.

When the food is complete, interact with the pot again to get your finished dish. To give it to Chris P, equip it and speak to him, then select “4. Try this food I cooked up!”
