My beloved African violet came with me on my cross country move and a box fell on her and snapped the stem. Can I save the plant somehow? So sad 🙁

Yes you can. Lightly scrap off the stem and then pot it on some potting mix. If there isn’t much of a stem you can remove some of the lower leaves. I like to put it under a dome, bag it up, or in a container for higher humidity and it should grow roots.

u/nancyy604 gave you the answer. Follow that advice. The base, the part still in the soil, you can leave it be, keep watering it, and it should send up several suckers that you can divide and root later. If you want to. Best of Luck.

Oh I hate when that happens. There is a very good possibility that the top can root. But might also want to think about taking off a leaf to propagate as insurance.
