Now at the Market Garden Nursery

Do you have a question about your soil, have a problem with your fruit tree, or are thinking about starting a garden? Is something bugging your plants, or you are curious about identifying a plant or insect? Master Gardeners will be staffing Ask A Master Gardener events on Orcas to help answer your questions and collect plant problem samples.
Orcas Master Gardeners will be at the Market Garden Nursery Wednesday August 13, 2025 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
If you have a plant with a problem or want a plant or insect identified, follow these steps:
Put your problem plant in a sealed plastic bag, or your insect in a container. Keep it cool.
Fill out and attach a plant problem or plant/insect identification form. These forms can be found at the Ask A Master Gardener event or on the website. Please note, samples cannot be analyzed without a form.
Bring your sample to the next Ask A Master Gardener event.
The Master Gardener program is a program of Washington State University Extension. Master Gardeners are university-trained
volunteers who empower and sustain diverse communities with relevant, unbiased, research-based horticulture and environmental stewardship education. For more information about the San Juan County Master Gardener program, visit our website.
