Are people unable to recognize grapes anymore? What are you learning in schools over there on the other side of the big puddle?

Please tell your friend she isn’t very smart when it comes to deciding to eat strange plants. For all she knows she could be brewing up a deadly death cap mushroom stew right now. Always be wary of what you put in your mouth!

If your friend tells her you’re full of sour grapes for calling her an idiot, you can accurately say, no, you are!

Thank you, everyone! I didn’t immediately clock them as grapes because they are so small, and also I do not eat grapes. I’m glad she won’t be dying from this!

Is your friend a 2 year old, or a possum?

  6. Escape-Loose

Between this and the mushroom subreddits, the amount of people eating before identifying is Darwin award levels of too dang high.

Why would anyone eat a berry without knowing what it was? I’m talking adult.

There’s a ton of Vineyards in that area, not surprising to see some grape vines.

Your friend is on the short list for a Darwin Award

    Is she still alive?

    That’s your answer!!!!!

Grapes need more than those ones appear to be getting. Quite finicky things.

Who are these people who just grab and eat wild fruits without knowing what they are?

    Seriously boggles my mind.

I’m grew up country and it’s like the first thing a kid is taught.

🤌Its not your job to stop your friend, this is probably how early humans found out what was edible and what would kill you..sit back and let nature take its course, if theyre dumb enough to run around putting random shit in their mouths then theyre prepared for the consequences..you let US know in 24hrs if it’s good or not..

  14. Yes, you can eat them. Its form of wild graoe. In the South they’re often called possum grapes.

Wild grape or cultivated grape – not common moonseed.

They’re not ripe, but won’t kill her. They might give her a stomach ache if she eats a bunch of them because they’re unripe. Otherwise, she’s fine. They’re just grapes.

  17. What adult just eats random berries in the wild? That’s the stuff that animals and children do. Tell your friend they have the survival instincts of a child.

Unripe grapes. Safe to eat, but probably yucky.

  19. Wide_Field_9562

Wild grapes. They are not ripe. Maybe another 4 weeks…

  20. ginger_tree

Grapes are safe to eat. They are much better when ripe.

  21. Accomplished_Win_220

Wild grape. It’ll taste less like vinegar after it’s ripe. In New York, likely after first frost.

Would you really trust a Redditor’s (blue haired living in their parent’s basement) opinion one whether or not to eat an unfamiliar berry going wild? I should keep my mouth shut and let Darwinism work.
