My wife and I have had an unbelievable string of catastrophes in our home that culminated with us having to, hopefully temporarily, leave our house. If I weren't living it, I wouldn't believe that this many things could go wrong for two people in such a short period of time. I doubt I have the character limit here to tell the story and my soul is exhausted. This alocasia is one of my favorite plants and it has to live outdoors at the place we're living now. Turns out a spare 10 gallon aquarium, painters tape and some plastic sheet, makes a great temporary habitat for humidity and protection from pests. I bring it inside and open it up to off gas some humidity from time to time. Hoping the universe sees fit to let me keep this one.

I’m so sorry to hear about your house. I hope you can find peace in your saved plants 💛🪴
For that size I much recommend a gallon size zip lock over the cup. I have grown so many Frydek they love the gallon size zip lock trick
(I’ve saved many stumps this way and it’s actually the only way my Frydek will get more than 2 leaves and not struggle) I can send photos if you want
Sorry to hear about your troubles. Sending u positive vibes ✌️beautiful plant🤗
