I have had this baby since two years and it was doing amazing, it grew a lot in the past months and it even gave me a lot of flowers this spring but then all of a sudden in the past two weeks the top has started to dry out but the soil is not dry at all so I haven’t watered it again. I don’t know what is happening because aside from that the length is still looking good and fairly full, please help if it dies I’m gonna cry. Last pic is the location I keep it at, it’s a west facing window, rn the window shutters are not fully open because it’s 35 degrees and the sun will burn the plant I think.

Overwatering.
Put a fan on it if it’s over watered.
I would remove the dead vines. They look like they dried out but you may have overwatered and the roots died. If the soil isn’t too moist still, I’d wait to repot and let him dry out.
It’s hung way too high, none of the western sunlight is hitting the base of the plant (at the top, where it’s rooted in the pot).
It’s focusing its energy on new growth in the strings, because in the wild those strings are crawling across the ground rooting themselves in soil – for the past two years it’s been searching for a spot to root in that has good sunlight and water, and it’s finally exhausting.
It will take a while for the top to come back, but drop it down in height (same with the other string next to it), open up those window slats (western sun is gentle enough for these guys even when it’s hot), and be very conscientious of your watering schedule while it’s recovering.
It would probably also help to have a light source at the top of the pot! The bottom length will continue to grow, but a light source from above will help the bald spot to fill in with new growth
