Any idea what these bugs are on my peppers? Located in Hawaii. Should I kill or leave as they are?

Wow, those can’t be good! Use insecticide soap and Neem
    Oil

Rule of thumb, if there are no other insects on the plant, it’s almost always a foe. If there are known foes, then friends may be arriving to take care of the situation, but if not – what business do these have being there? You know?

Have to observe honestly. Looks like what we call potatoe bugs, or rolly polys. But they generally break down rotting material like soft wood, old leaves etc. Wouldn’t expect to see them congregating on a healthy stem like that. Definitely right to call a red flag on this.

Just do you’re aware /r/hotpeppers will answer questions about any peppers and it’s much more active community. I’m a new grower so I can’t speak with authority, all I know is when these popped up so did a couple of huge greenhorn caterpillar plant eaters.
