I have had this plant since I was a child (probably since 1997ish), and I love it. I live somewhere with humid summers, so I put it outside in the shade (I've done this before). This time, though, someone didn't latch the back porch gate, so my 8 chickens ate the heck out of it. It used to be very full and beautiful, but it has been pecked back to stumps.

I had some questions about what to do with what's left of it.

1) I might take this opportunity to repot what is left of it, but I wasn't sure if I should wait for it to get over this shock before I do that, or if repotting would help it re-establish itself.

2) I was also curious about the pieces left behind by my fool fowl. I thought I might distribute some to friends, and some pieces (not pictured) I know will propagate well, but others (pictured) I wasn't so sure about. Does anyone know if there is hope for these bitten up pieces, or if I should stick to the other more robust guys?

Thanks so much!

All of them are propable. All might not make it, but it’s definitely worth the effort. Go for it!
