Just grabbed it from Target of all places

Not rare at all. Lately they’ve been available in grocery stores and targets / Walmarts

Use to be extremely rare but now they are becoming more readily available to the public due to propagating and companies creating tissue cultures of the Thai Cons, I never thought I would be able to afford one but now I have 3 hahaha, two from Walmart and one from Lowe’s!!

There’s an Amish place near me that has ones this size for $15. $40 would get you a mature specimen. Stunning variegation patter on that find though.

They’re not super rare anymore (I snagged one at HEB for $20 the other day) but I will say this one is especially pretty 😍

They managed to get a good tissue culture going and now they’re no longer rare, but I think they’ll forever feel a little exotic. Though full disclosure, I’m writing this next to my thai con who’s busy looking out the windows

(I’ve got a new planter with a better climbing setup at the ready, but I’m waiting for that leaf to unfurl and for it to be a watering day to move her to it. This planter also has a smaller volume than it looks like it should and there are a couple roots starting to peek above the soil in the back so it’s close enough to a good time)

My Thai (great variegation) does not produce half-moon leaves. Your plant is not “rare”. But I would call it “less common” and a great looking plant💚

I’d say the variegated amount yours has is very cool. Almost half moon leafs. Although I love the speckling on mine, I don’t really have that pute white (cream) on mine, mine looks like it has a white coat of paint over the green and they forgot to prime it first lol

Not rare anymore. Most plants that end up in big box stores are no longer considered rare. They only made it there due to it being mass produced. Keep an eye out for odd coloring, extremely high color, or any sort of mutations from the regular Thai cons tho! Those would be rare!

It’s is very beautiful, but common nowadays, luckily for us. A few years ago having one was a dream, now I have 10 😊. I love them all.
