Hi!
I’m new to posting on reddit and hydroponics. This is my first time growing anything in hydroponics. I got an Aerogarden and planted Amaou strawberries from seed. There’s limited information on them so I researched the best I can.
There was a period of rapid growth both flowers and leaves so I trimmed the runners (3-4 weeks ago) Around that same time I also switched from the aerogarden nutrient to FloraBloom nutrient and added it according to package.
I do have an EC meter but I’m wondering maybe it’s too high for strawberries? I attached the picture. I also attach pictures of the roots. They look fine to me, but I’m not sure as I’m still too new. I don’t have a pH meter. I do have air stone in there.
My concerns are the berries are turning black, but not all of them are. There’s still new flowers growing. The leaves are yellowing with brown tips.
What adjustments do I need to make? Any advice would be helpful!

Apparently FloraBloom needs to be used with FloraMicro and FloraGro. If FloraBloom is all that your plants are getting they are craving for nitrogen, because there is none in the fertilizer you are using.
Now that you’re flowering and fruiting, you may wind up wanting to boost your EC a bit.
Here’s a reddit post on this sub from 4 years ago with a lot of information. Maybe something here can help.

Also, I’m getting ready to start attempting some hydro strawberries myself from seed. I hope mine wind up as gorgeous as yours!
Need PH meter, 1200uS is ok if balanced food, might want to use maxi bloom instead of precision balancing flora series for strawberries.
The commercial fertilizer route also works, if you have a good mix chart like Ytter posts infrequently
