The pot has been on the ledge for years, it’s surrounded by other haws and lithops, and one tomato plant on the side. There’s a flowering cubiformis next to it, only placed there less than a week ago. It’s outdoors btw, on a balcony ledge. I just noticed this and dug it out. What in the world??!! It was buried until very top. I watered this plant last week and I didn’t see this.

I hesitate to feel confident about IDing a plant that small, but I’m pretty sure that’s a dorstenia seedling. They’re often shaped like that, they have those little dots on top where leaves have fallen off and they are known for explosively ejecting their seeds so it wouldn’t be crazy for them to end up in another pot.
One of my favorite parts about having a zillion plants is finding fun weeds like this. I’d probably have left it there to grow and wait to see what it is.
