Variegated Heartleaf keeps pushing out the weirdest leaves – any ideas?


I gave her a small haircut months ago and every leaf she’s grown since then has looked similarly to this one on the right. They’re really odd and the variegation is crazy. I love it, but at the same time I’m a little concerned about whether it is indicative of some sort of issue? Thanks for looking 🙂

    I would check for pests/ thrips specifically

    Don’t stress mine do the same thing. Absolutely 100% pest free. I like the unique shaped leaves. 👌🏾

    probably pests. i had spider mites and didn’t know it bc they were too small to see.

    I was thinking spider mites as well. I’d spray with a horticultural oil every three days for a week, then once a week for 2 weeks and then monthly. After that see how it goes.

    Mine will put out weird leaves sometimes, too. I think its part of the plants generics perhaps.

    hi! i work at a plant shop and we have like 10 of these no pests and they just do that. I think bc the variegation is technically a deformity or something
