I just got back from a 10 week internship and my self-proclaimed black-thumbed boyfriend only killed one plant!
The one he killed was a fittonia (understandable) but he kept over 70 plants, including a maranta, a pinstripe Calathea, several begonias, and a Stromanthe trio star alive for 70+ days !!!
How did he keep a calathea alive but not a fittonia?! Either way, keeping that many plants alive is an amazing display of care and dedication. He sounds like a keeper.
