Walnuts, do not touch them with your bare hands. They will stain your skin and it doesn’t come off for a while.

We had to crack 100’s of these every year because my Mom loves them. I’m surprised I still have working thumbs.

My grandma has a tree like this on the bank of the creek in her backyard! Not sure if it’s exactly the same as I haven’t seen it since before COVID when I was younger so I don’t remember it very clearly…

But I do remember as a kid I loved cracking the green lemon looking things open with rocks because to me they smelled really good, I used to put them in the creek to watch them float away lol. Wasn’t as fun when they started to turn brown tho

Holy cow! My tree is like 100′ tall and then I have a few that are maybe 25′. I have like 4 nuts on each. It’s my first full year here and I was expecting so many more given the number of trees and the size of the big one. I love walnuts and I was up for the adventure so I was kind of disappointed

  6. Some people develop an acid burn reaction to the bark of the tree if you’re cutting them down. It’s pretty uncomfortable, starts like stinging nettle and turns into a raised red rash that forms many, many tiny pustules/blisters by the next day.
