Our irrigation is being weird and I don’t know a lot about watering cacti. It’s about 15 feet tall. Thanks!

We only water our huge saguaros every 2 weeks, during the hot season. I would water it deeply with just a trickle coming out of the hose for a couple hours

I suggest finding someone local who knows how to handle your front yard setup. That big cactus should be fine without water for about a month.

I read last year that people were overwatering their Saguaros, causing them to swell and topple over. (PHX Area).

Such a huge cactus, I won’t worry with it though, they probably can last a few months without water. It’s always better to under water a cactus than over watering.

I had a friend in AZ who watered his saguaro 1-2 X a month with a hose placed about 3 feet from the base and let it drizzle for 3-4 hrs. FYI for what it’s worth.

I think last rain we had was in early June. Probably won’t hurt to give it a trickle for a few hours at night. That should last at least another month.

Just popping in to say “what a beauty”! Do you know how old it is?
