First pic is what was advertised on the seller’s live and second pic is what arrived today. The leaf damage is to be expected with shipping, but there is little to no variegation which is what I’m really disappointed about. Hopefully she pulls through and I’ll update again when she’s healthier. The seller was theGreenEscape.

Do the leaves have nice variegation?

Green Escape is notorious for sending whatever they feel like and the customer service sucks, so you’re likely to have to appeal to palmstreet. Good news is you’ll probably win that, they obviously sent a nonvariegated or reverted plant and it’s not what you ordered.

Green Escape has some good deals and they’ve never burned me.

My favorite “big vendor” on there is Orange Lake Nursery though. Great customer service and healthy plants every time so far.

Update: Good news!! Repotting her rn and the root system looks really healthy and I found a ton of corms!! Bad news, fungus gnats 😭

That looks like a regular Frydek. That mature of a plant and zero variegation at all is a red flag. Send the seller a message if they don’t answer send PS Support a message with photos and screenshots and they will refund you.

My only experience with them was negative.

Ugh I only realized after I placed a large order with them, both live and purge, about their bad reviews because I got caught up in thinking I found some good deals. They only just shipped them so fingers crossed… Although it’s already been delayed.. I heard they use UPS saver instead of ground which makes your package lowest priority.

Not me, reading this entire thread realizing I ordered from Green Escape 2 days ago 🤯😭.. Oh well, I guess that’s on me for not vetting them better. We’ll see what I end up with in a few days, lol.

I have also used Orange Lake and have been there in person! They live about an hour away from me! Fantastic people! They love what they do, and it shows!

That is not the same plant… but whatever. Why do you guys in the US have so many bad plant businesses? Why do they not fail?!?
