Crowds of people flocked to Parc Cerrig Community Garden’s open day where they enjoyed stalls, talks, demonstrations refreshments, activities, a raffle, wild craft and storytelling.
Visitors also enjoyed visiting the gardens set in a spectacular spot with panoramic views, near Stop and Call in Goodwick.
Parc Cerrig Community Garden offers local community members the opportunity to grow food using organic, sustainable techniques, promoting wellbeing and health.
The garden is open to new members and also anyone interested in having an allotment.
Local schoolchildren have also helped plant trees and shrubs at the garden to create a shelter belt wind break for the allotments and varied wildlife habitat. The children have their own plot which they have used to grow fruit and vegetables.
During the open day Fishguard and Goodwick Mayor, Billy Shaw, planted a sweet chestnut tree to celebrate the event.
“What a fantastic day we shared,” said the Parc Cerrig team. “There were so many lovely connections and inspiring conversations.
“Thanks to all who came to our open day and to the members for creating a fabulous day.
“Thanks to all our contributors and to the mayor for planting our celebratory sweet chestnut tree.”
