First paludarium and i got some questions, (also this tank was old as butt when I got it 😭🙏)

Is there a way to make the water color clear?(I'm guessing a couple water changes?)
What plants would you all recommend for the soggy area in my build?(circled in blue how wet a handful of dirt squeezed was)
With adjustments would this be suitable for vampire crabs?
I accidentally popped the door of and need to know if there is a replacement or how to fix it.
I also broke the door knob is there a replacement for that? 😭😭😭

THANK YOU 🗣 😊 🙏

You should have a drainage layer under the soil so it doesn’t become so water logged. Typically suggestions are to use egg crate or LECA with a weed matting or window screen barrier to support the soil. And then you have to ensure the water level is below the soil. I would recommend trying to resolve that before getting any crabs for the enclosure.

    It looks pretty nice though!

You want at least an inch or two of space between the drainage level and tne soil.
The door will pop back in. Put the top pin in tne uppper notch and lift the bottom pin in place.
Contact Zoo Med. they’ll send you a new latch. It’s kinda a PIA to install. There videos online that walk you through it.
