This little guy randomly sprouted in my front yard so I decided to transplant him to the flower bed and see what he turns into. He has grown rather considerably since I planted him a few weeks ago. He even bloomed today!
I think it's some kind of squash or pumpkin, but does anyone know for sure?

Squash/pumpkin, *Cucurbita pepo or C. maxima*
Courgette
Yard Pumpkin, or possibly a close relative, all squash are the same base species so the plant looks the same, but Pumpkin is the most likely candidate for random seeds in your yard.
The second one is definitely C.maxima and will if properly cared for send out some big ass vines( mine have vines like 10-20ft long).
Just enjoy 😉 it no matter what it produces . Long time gardening lady here hasn’t had any luck with Squash for 10 yrs. Seems that there’s an abundance of plants with male flowers only. Who knew? I used to be you….lolol
Aren’t the flowers edible?
