July 22nd to August 1st. Tons of rapid growth compared to the non grafted optunia plant. Grows noticeably larger each day. Scion attached in less than 12 hours. Going to graft more optunia including fully variegated pieces to experiment more.

Nice! I did some grafts onto O. polyacantha pads a couple days ago and stuck all the leftover tips on A. subulata so I hope they’ll get going before too long.
The Maihueniopsis darwinii I did hasn’t done anything at all in almost a month. Opuntia fragilis potato form hasn’t budged in at least two months. I keep removing any side growth from the stock but nothing happens.
Have got some Pereskiopsis on top of the A. subulata monstrose and it’s growing almost normally. The areoles might be growing double spines or maybe they’re just about to get weird. You ever do anything with that?
