I've had this polka dot plant for about 2 months. The leaves started to go brown and I think I had it in too much direct sunlight and moved it. Things didn't improve.
I was about to give up but the roots appear to have some life left: I did have to clear out a lot of dead roots that wrapped around the white ones (and I mean a lot!) the dead ones were small and stringy tho.
I know they like water so don't let the soil completely dry out so maybe they got root rot?
I included a pic of the remaining leaves aswell as the healthy (I think) roots
I'm not sure what these roots are telling me. Any advise please help

There is no way she’s going to survive unless you put her in an indoor greenhouse with circulating fans.
They need *high* humidity. Some plants just aren’t good house plants.
Don’t be offended if she can’t adapt to your living environment.
Try a pothos instead!
